Walk of Awareness '22'
Numerous governmental, private and volunteer organizations have been grappling with PTSD and other mental health issues for years trying to tame this tragic dilemma.
Towns4Troops-SE is hosting this event to raise awareness for our Veteran/Military community here in the low country. Mental health awareness is paramount to helping bring an end to hunger, unemployment, homelessness, suicide, PTSD and other issues affecting our extended military family.
The goal is to have community residents enter the eleven-day challenge of 22,000 cumulative steps to remember our veteran/military members culminating on Veterans Day, November 11th, 2020.
For eleven days, starting November 1 to November 11, 2020, (Veterans Day) we are asking you to join us in a Virtual Walk of Awareness dedicating 22,000 cumulative steps for our Veterans. Reflect on their sacrifices, recall personal memories and enjoy the many treasures we as Americans share each day.
